Advanced Rehab

Active Therapeutic Movement (ATM)

The ATM is a critical part to our advanced rehab that is designed to alleviate pain and restrengthen an injury. A movement with pain is typically due to an unstable portion of your body and your brain remembers this painful movement. On the ATM, we stabilize the area in which you are having pain, make sure the movement is not irritating the injured area, then have you perform some repetitions of that movement. This begins a process of retraining the Central Nervous System to tell the brain that this movement should be allowed without pain, since our brain has pain memory receptors. Once this occurs, we can begin strengthening the injured area, which, in turn, re-stabilizes the area to help stop recurring injuries. Results are seen after the very first treatment with less pain and a significant increase in range of motion.

Power Plate

The science behind the Power Plate targets our body's natural response to vibration. The Power Plate is a whole body vibration platform that instigates your muscles to contract and relax between 25 and 50 times per second. This makes the exercises more intense than if you were to perform them at home or at the gym, which allows for better results in a shorter amount of time. Not only does the vibration from the Power Plate benefit strength training exercises, but it also helps increase circulation, flexibility, range of motion, bone density, and helps decrease cellulite (with the help of our Laser Assisted Fat Loss), pain, and recovery time.

Cervical and Thoracic Restoration

Our cervical restoration focuses on restructuring the curvature of your neck and head posture by using a cervical traction harness, which tractions the forehead and cervical spine. We gently increase the traction force over time as the muscles, tendons, tissues, and vertebrae of your neck becomes used to the device, giving you better results. The thoracic restoration focuses on the same concept as the cervical restoration, except our target area is the midback. It is a much larger harness that tractions across the chest and thoracic region of the spine, reversing the hyperkyphotic curvature and further opening the airways to your lungs. By tractioning across the chest, we can retrain the shoulders to retract and produce better overall posture, as well.

Exercise with Oxygen Therapy (EWOT)

For our EWOT rehabilitation, we target the depleted oxygen concentration in your body, which is initially tested through the use of a pulse oximeter. In order to do so, we have constructed a special combination of upper body muscle and nerve stimulation, through the use of an ergometer,  and oxygen concentrators. When your body is low in oxygen, your bodily functions and cycles do not perform at their peak, some of which are pain-reduction cycles. The use of the ergometer stimulates the brain to bring in more oxygen from the oxygen concentrators, in turn, resulting in a higher blood oxygen concentration and increased bodily function and cycle productions. A lot of patients report feeling better, and some say they have a feeling of "clear headiness," after this portion of our rehab.
